Afterglow
Warm smoky haze fills the air,
sweet vanilla perfume dances on my skin,
soft round lips pressed together,
tongues intertwined,
sharpened nails digging into your back,
and a low deep sigh escapes the kiss
Your arms wrap around my waist,
then my knees grow weak and my legs begin to shake,
as you run your hands across my flesh,
every inch of my body becomes aflame
With each passing wave of energy between us,
a shiver tingles down my spine,
my mind blanks white,
as my soul floats in the quiet air.
When my thoughts return,
I feel your breath on the nape of my neck
Your fingers caress the marks you left,
in these stolen moments my heart questions,
if I asked you if you loved me,
would you say yes?
